WeaponsMelee WeaponsMost of the melee weapons in the game are justdetritus and tools scattered around the Scenarios. Some of them will break aftermultiple uses, and some will persist better throughout their butt-whoopin'lifetime.

Here's a rundown of weapons available in the game:Butcher Knife: The butcher knifehas a wide blade and the ability to slash a pretty big hole in undead meat. The only drawback is that you need to be pretty close to make the knife work foryou.Crutch: Found in the hospital, the crutch is ahandy weapon with quite good reach, but it breaks fairly quickly. If playingalone, it's best to give this weapon off to one of your teammates and let themcrack it over some zombie backs.Folding Knife: Knives don't break. Thefolding knife is only really useful at close range, but can be quite damaging, especially in the hands of David.IronPipe: Probably the sturdiest of all of the melee weapons, the ironpipe does especially well in the hands of Mark, who is quite adept atlaying down the smack. It does get bent and unusable over time, but has the bestlongevity.ScrubBrush: The brush looks solid enough, but like the crutch, itcomes apart pretty quickly. After it finally breaks in half (after a few uses),you can throw the last piece at a monster, and hopefully knock it down.Survival Knife: The survival knife is whatRambo would use to hunt zombies, if he were in Raccoon City. It's the best ofthe knives, and the hardiest. If you're using a knife as your primary weapon, this is the one to grab.Wooden Pole: The wooden pole also has goodrange, and it swings fairly fast, but is brittle as a chicken bone.

Still, itdoes decent damage when it's around. Hand it off to one of your homies, and lethim/her wreck shop.GunsAmpoule Shooter: Load this weapon withDaylight in the Decisions, Decisions scenario and go after the final boss.Assault Rifle: This high speed rifle isdecent, but not all that powerful. Don't worry too much about preserving ammowith it. Use it to get you out of tight spots, then cast it aside.Grenade Launcher: As per usual, the grenadelauncher is one of the best weapons in the game. Load as much ammo into it asyou can, and save it for the boss fight whenever you get it.Handgun: There are a couple differentvarieties of the handgun, but they all work the same.

Target and pop. Threeshots will take most zombies to the floor, but you'll want to preserve ammowhenever you can.Magnum: This weapon is available in a littlenook leading up to the footbridge towards the end of the Outbreak Scenario. It'sa very powerful gun, but you won't get much use out of it here. You can also getit in Below Freezing Point, but again, you won't need it for much.Nailgun: Not really a gun per se, this deviceis helpful during Outbreak to build a wall to keep the zombies out. However, ifyou choose not to use it for that, you can shoot nails at enemies with it. Ifyou run out of nails, get rid of it!

There are no reloads for this weapon.Rocket Launcher: The rocket launcher is mightypowerful, but it can only be used once. Grab it, shoot the boss with it, and bedone.Shotgun: Always a good weapon in any game,it's no exception here. Don't worry about trying to use it to knock any zombieheads off, though. That tactic no longer works.Submachine Gun: In The Hive Scenario, you canfind this on the rooftop (by Cindy or Kevin). Chat with the policeman to get it.It chews through ammo quickly, but it's handy against the final boss of thelevel.Thrown WeaponsChemical Bottles: These can only be found inthe Below Freezing Point Scenario, and are helpful to throw, especially in theboss fight for that level.Concrete Piece: Just like it sounds. Heavethis chunk of rock at the nearest target, and do some damage!Molotov Cocktail: Anyone can make a MolotovCocktail if they have the appropriate ingredients.

An Alcohol Bottle,Newspaper and the Lighter. Toss a Cocktail at the feet of an approaching zombieto stop it dead (ahem) in its tracks.Character-Specific/Created Weapons45Auto For Kevin: As the name states, this is a specific gun forKevin. It packs a little more pop than the standard handgun, but ammo for it isalso more difficult to find.FlameThrower: David can make this weapon by combining the Lighter andInsect Spray. It's not all that easy to use, but it does pack a punch.Folding Knife: This weapon is specific toDavid the plumber, and you'll find it in his handy toolbox. This weapon issimilar to the regular old folding knife that any character can use, but Davidcan use this for a quick three-slash combo.Hammer: Put the Concrete Piece and Iron Pipetogether to make the Hammer (with David).

Resident Evil OutBreak: survivalist is much like the actual Outbreak games, but with different characters. There is no infection rate. You may choose between classic RE view, or RE 4/5 view. Contentsshow Key Fort = Starting Room Weapon cache = Weapon storage P = no enemies can get in.

This is another handy and ratherpowerful melee weapon.Monkey Wrench: This is specific to David aswell, and serves as his defensive thrown weapon. Hold R1 and press CIRCLE tochuck a wrench at a zombie. Don't do it too often, though. There are only somany wrenches in a toolbox!Spear: If you combine the Butcher Knife andthe Wooden Pole, you'll make a spear.

This can take down zombies with one stab,so it's extremely useful. Only David can make it.StunRod: Another David the Plumber special, this is made by combiningthe Battery and Iron Pipe. Wield this if you can find the scraps to make it, asit is quite effective at taking down the undead.Miscellaneous WeaponsInsecticide Spray: Not all that useful, thisspray (found in the Outbreak level) can slow zombies down, but it should not berelied on. It has poor range, and creates the illusion of protection when whatyou should really be doing is running away.
